Who and What is Lucyja Hygge?
who is lucyja?
Lucyja was born and raised in Eastern Europe, Poland, in the city of Gdansk. As a teenager in the 1950’s, Lucyja frequently visited and cared for a 90-year old Cyganie, Gypsy Woman. During the last years of the Gypsy's life, she taught Lucyja a very unique and ancient way of using tarot. Using this gift with her natural clairvoyance, Lucyja was able to uplift and bring comfort and peace to many people in the Polish community for over 50 years.
In the beginning of the 1980’s, Lucyja stood with the Polish Solidarity Movement and fought against the communist regime for human rights. In 1981, Lucyja was imprisoned for 3 and ½ months in Gdansk, Poland, where she was heavily interrogated for her involvement with the underground parties of Solidarity which ended communism, leading to democracy in Poland.
As of today, Lucyja currently resides in Gdansk, Poland, Her gift, experiences, and spirit should be demonstrated by each of us for the betterment of humanity, for the betterment of tomorrow.
what is hygge?
Hygge – Pronounced (hoo-gah) is a Danish word for creating a feeling of coziness, comfort, and well-being. A few examples of hygge is simply enjoying a cup of coffee, meditating/being still in the moment, watching your favorite show, taking a stroll/run, having a glass of wine, lighting your favorite candle and/or incense.
Our Mission at Lucyja Hygge is to help every Customer that comes through our door create Hygge in their lives. Helping them to comfortably Love, Heal and Be. We show this with each customer, be it with our kind, caring conversations, our knowledge of the products that we have available or a simple smile and acknowledgement that they are present; and so are we!
Meet the Owners
maria & krzysztof
Maria owns Lucyja Hygge with her husband Krzysztof, of Poland. The pair wanted to pay tribute to Krzysztof's Mother, Lucyja, by opening a spirituality shop in her name...
Lucyja once foresaw her son, Krzysztof, marrying Maria and bestowed her blessing upon them both, in hopes that they would carry on her legacy.
